Home Staging Tips

-         the first impression is the last impression and you only get one shot at it.
-         Clear the clutter, put toys and anything extra away or donate to charity- buyers like to see space
-         Rearrange furniture to define each room as it is meant to be
-         Apply a fresh coat of paint (neutral shades preferably)
-         Kitchen counters should be clear with only one small appliance and two or three accessories visible.
-         Kitchen and bathroom cabinets should be clean and organized
-         If kitchen or bathroom cabinets and counter tops are not up to date consider refacing or updating to add value to your home.
-         Bathrooms should be thoroughly cleaned and shower curtains replaced
-         Organize and clear out closets, buyers would like to see what storage they are getting.
-         Floor, carpets should be clean
-         Clear walls from too many family pictures or art. Keep only a select few on the walls.
-         Repair any thing that is broken, cracked etc.
-         Garage should be clear of all clutter and swept clean. Cars should be parked on the garage during appointments.
-         Porches should be cleared out. Fresh flower baskets should be placed neatly
-         Keep lawn and shrubs tidy to maximize curb appeal. Add hanging baskets or plant some flowers for colour
